American Airlines miles needed!  Consider allowing Project Child to use 30,000 of your miles to purchase a needed airline ticket for a Casa de Luz child or his/her accompanying parent to come to the US for surgery or specialized treatment.  Tickets are also needed for Project Child administrative needs.  Hold a Bake Sale, Yard Sale, Car Wash, Game Night or other fundraiser to benefit Project Child. Whether as an individual or in a group, everyone from 8 to 80 has some item they can sell or service they can do. Others like to host parties. We will be glad to discuss ideas with you and send you some Project Child flyers to hand out to your "customer".   Contact us in advance.                           Volunteer your Skills! We always appreciate your prayers to God and we know that He hears. Here is our current, April 23, list of needs:

1. We are planning a medical ministry to our neighborhood around Casa de Luz, allowing them to see our doctor during limited hours.  They will also receive the Gospel message! We need wisdom and strength for our new doctor at Casa de Luz, Dr de los Santos,  who with our Director Lucas will be planning this ministry.

2. Through our relationship with SCORE International, many of their mission groups are now visiting Casa de Luz and some are doing construction work.  Others bring groceries.  Pray for long-term, fruitful relationships to be made with those the Lord wants to touch concerning Project Child.

3. Please be in prayer for the persons committed to going on our next two mission trips this summer to the Dominican Republic. People need their friends and family and others to help with the finances to go.  Also, pray that the Lord would prepare their hearts for a meaningful trip June 5-11 Bridgepoint Church Group, St Petersburg.  July 11-18  Northside Baptist group and others from around the US.

4. Safety and wisdom will be essential in the reinstallation of our water pump at Casa de Luz this week. The motor shop says that repair of our US-made pumps is better than purchasing new in DR.

5. Ask the Lord’s favor as Project Child staff and volunteers reach out to Foundations in the next weeks to apply for grant funds.  ALL things are POSSIBLE in the Lord to those who believe!

6. Lourdes asks for prayer for Maria Elisa concerning whether to bring her to US for surgeries, etc. To read Lourdes' recent newsletter article, click HERE

7. Lourdes Valladares needs strength and wisdom as she balances the work of Project Child with family responsibilities.

8. Pray that our application to be a part of the federal workers' Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) will be accepted so that federal workers can donate through their government agency.

9. Pray for Leo. Leo is the son of Lucas our Director of Casa de Luz, and he has Down Syndrome and  is hospitalized with many health complications. Doctors are doing tests. 

10. Pray that we will find the right electrician/plumber to get our electrical generator up and running once the parts are resent in June.
