We are at a crossroad in the ministry and currently in the process of seeking God's will in that matter. We are not accepting donations at this time; however, your prayers for the children in Casa de Luz are most welcome. We will respond to any calls and/or questions you may have. You may still use our email address below to make contact with us. Frank and Lourdes Valladares, Founders/Directors MissionProject Child exists to provide physical, medical and spiritual care to the orphaned and disabled children of the Dominican Republic. VisionProject Child will continue to reach out with loving care to the "forgotten" and disabled Dominican children until such time as all children of the Dominican Republic, disabled, or not, live in safe, loving homes without fear of abuse or neglect. What We Do We operate Casa de Luz (House of Light residential home for special needs children in a suburb of Santo Domingo. Presently, we have 20 children ages 4 to 20 who receive 24/7 care and love from our staff. We lead several mission teams each year from the US to love the children, provide manual labor, and do other outreach in the community. Donors and VolunteersMuch of Project Child's mission is accomplished by our donors and volunteers. Donors provide funding and needed items. Volunteers do office work and fundraising projects in the US and may go to Casa de Luz on a team organized by their school, church, or other organizational group. Project Child is volunteer-powered! | ||||||||
